About Alexandra Pochron

Alexandra is a Licensed Social Worker and therapist who works with adolescents and adults seeking thoughtful, direct, trauma-informed and compassionate care. She supports individuals navigating depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, ADHD, grief and loss, relationship challenges, life challenges, and substance use and other addictive behaviors. As a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), she has expertise in problematic cannabis use and cannabis use disorder and is attuned to the ways mental health and substance use intersect.

Alex takes an integrative, collaborative approach to therapy that focuses on making sense of the past, navigating the present, and building a future that feels meaningful and sustainable. Her work is grounded in a strengths-based, person-centered framework that respects each client’s unique experiences, preferences, and goals. She draws from evidence-based approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic and attachment principles.

Her style is engaged, honest, and nonjudgmental, balancing warmth with directness. She incorporates harm reduction when appropriate, meeting clients where they are in their process, and integrates psychoeducation to empower clients to better understand the “why” behind their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

Alex is committed to ongoing professional development and providing ethical, affirming, culturally responsive care.
