About Emily Buckley
Emily is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and received her Master's degree in Social Work from Aurora University, with a specialization in forensic social work. She also specialized in addictions and is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC). Emily's areas of strength include working alongside teens and adults with ADHD, life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma and substance misuse.
She believes that a therapeutic relationship must be built on a solid foundation and connection, instilling acceptance and a continued journey of meeting the client where they're at. This includes utilizing a multitude of treatment approaches as needed, and with a trauma-informed, holistic lens, she honors the complex, layered experiences each person carries. Emily notes that a major component of productive therapeutic treatment is found in establishing and providing an environment that is safe, attentive and nonjudgmental.
